Byzantine Sundial Calendar

The original device was made somewhere in Byzantion, around the 6th century A.D. It has been detailed by Al-Biruni amongst others, and resides at the Science Museum in London. This neat portable device displays the positions of sun and moon, the phase of the moon, and a calendar on one side. A separate sundial exists on the other side. Under construction.
