This challenging Planetarium unit is a tribute to Archimedes, using ancient technology at its best. It includes 8 concentric axles for the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and the indicated corresponding date. The complexity is further increased by assuming an observer on planet earth. Consequently, complex retrograde motions are implemented. It has been calibrated to make accurate predictions for our era (1900-2100). Solid base polished to the highest of standards. Gold plated and finished with lapis lazuli, turquoise, red onyx, obsidian, quartz.
